Donate to Support STEP's Mission
We need your help! STEP relies on the cooperation and support of community members to continue offering high-quality programs and services to disabled adults. With your help, we can build a brighter future for our clients and the communities in which they live.
Please consider donating!
We rely on donations from community members to continue offering high-quality, usable items in our retail stores. You receive the benefit of an easy, convenient way to reduce clutter in your home. We benefit by recycling those items into job training for our clients and helping others find what they need at a great price. The money we raise from sales goes right back into our organization to support our programs and services for disabled adults.
Gently Used Clothing
Is your favorite outfit no longer in fashion? Have your kids outgrown their clothes again? Clean out your closets and bring your gently used clothing and accessories to us! We have many customers who rely on gently used clothing at a great price. STEP benefits, our customers benefit, and you feel great about supporting a great cause.
Recyclable Fabrics
Do you have used fabrics with holes and stains? We'll take it! The fabric must be clean but does not need to be in perfect condition. We recycle fabrics into our Fire Starters and our Hand-Loomed Rugs. Or we sell recyclable fabrics to other organizations for their products.
Other Recyclables
We are always looking for denim jeans, candles, toilet paper rolls, newsprint, thread, and craft supplies. We used these recyclables in a variety of projects including making Fire Starters and Hand-Loomed Rugs.
Household Items
We accept many types of used household items in good condition. Bring your once loved items to us! We'll find a new home for them.
- Glassware and cookware
- Small, working kitchen appliances
- Decorative items and pictures
Toys and Games
If you are tired of looking at toys your kids no longer want, bring them to us! We're the best place in town for finding children's books, puzzles, board games, and toys. The children who shop our stores love to find a new toy and the parents love the value.
Do Not Donate
The following items are not accepted at any of our thrift store locations. We are not able to use or sell these goods. It costs us money to have them hauled off our property and, in some cases, may be dangerous to the health and well-being of our clients. If you have questions, please make sure to ask our staff at any of our thrift store locations.
